The Friends of Squaw Mountain We were leaning toward shingles for the main section, but already have new green metal for the 60' wing off the other side to install first. We are open to suggestions. The siding will soon be natural cedar log siding already donated by Moosehead Cedar Log Homes of Greenville, Maine.

Thank you for helping fund the local elementary students global competition with Destination Imagination, Inc. in Knoxville. Good luck to the Team! April 28, 2013 at 7:39 pm We spooked a nice whitetail deer grazing on the lift line this afternoon. Her colors blend right in with the grass, so I posted this picture of her on the fly.
The Friends of Squaw Mountain She's all tail Tim! She was hanging out between pole 3 and 4 and let me walk right up to her from the lower lift house. There is a large flock of wild turkey, a fox family and at least three partridge all living near the lift like too. Nature's playground.

April 27, 2013 at 7:00 am WISH FOR 2014: To install the new cedar log siding already generously donated by Moosehead Cedar Log Homes on the slope side, gable end of the lower lodge. New insulated glass and entry door needed. Can you imagine the transformation?
The Friends of Squaw Mountain Our first project is to replace the roof on the wing of the lodge with metal. We will be starting that in the coming week. Anyone interested in helping can inbox us for more information. Scheduled work days will be posted once we gather materials for the siding project.

The Friends of Squaw Mountain Newport Glass will be here Thursday to order new insulated replacement panes. We need a new entry door before we can install the siding. Any ideas on a nice new door?

Way to go! I saw Big Squaw from my seat on an Air Canada flight to New Brunswick yesterday morning and couldn't figure out which mountain I was looking at!
I can't wait to check out the area next winter!
