Facilities at the Mountain

Food and Beverage

This year we welcome back, Northwoods Gourmet Girl. NWGG is a local business led by CIA chef Abby Freethy. A healthful, hearty & thoughtful approach is what they are all about! For twelve years now Abby and her great staff have been creating all natural pantry staples at their commercial kitchen in Greenville, which are widely distributed throughout Maine & New England. You’ll find these products available at the mountain as well a scrumptious, locally sourced, made from scratch menu in the NWGG style. Even if you don’t ski you can come enjoy a lovely lunch. Many upgrades have been made this year in the kitchen area including the addition of a beautiful window bar and expanded lounge area. We are happy to be pouring Geaghan Brothers beer as well as many other tasty adult beverages. (beer & wine) Keep your eyes on the web site for special food events! We hope to see you soon.

Ski and Rental Shop

The ski shop here at Squaw Mountain is staffed with friendly helpful folks who can help you get setup with equipment for the day. Please remember to buy your tickets first and get the rental form from our front desk employees before heading to the ski shop.  The guys need your information and to be paid before they can assist you in sizing for equipment. Our staff is also able to sharpen and wax your equipment to ensure it is in  tip top shape before you head out on the mountain.  This service is available when our technicians have time between rental customers.

Ski & Snowboard School

The Lodge is also the base for our Ski and Snowboard School.   When you arrive at the mountain, check in at the front desk to see when the next lesson starts.  Our friendly staff can occasionally accommodate a special lesson block and you’re certain to have a good time with our energetic instructors.  If you know you are coming and would like to schedule a lesson ahead of time to help ensure a spot, you can call the day before to tentatively schedule a lesson.

Storage Space

Added during the Fall 2014 season, we have expanded our storage options for those who don’t want to lug their gear daily.
2 x 2 x 7′ lockers are located in a storage facility outside the lodge and can easily accommodate the gear for a family. We also have 12 x 12 x 16″ lockers located in the lower level of the lodge that can be rented for the season. You can bring your own lock or we have combination locks for sale at the ticket counter for $5.00.    For those staying the day, we also have coin operated lockers inside lodge.  If you’re just looking for a place to leave your stuff for the day, the lodge offers several tables that you can leave your belongings on while out on the slopes.

Yennut Racing Center

Added during the Spring 2013 season, the Yennut Racing Center is based out of a yurt near the lower lodge.  It is available for visiting ski teams as well as for special events.
